Experience with athletes, competition, training programs, orthopedists, chiropractors, podiatrists provide a network of professionals with which to cross reference. The Pilates system, combined with Yoga, Kinesiology, National Academy of Sports Medicine Certification form the basis of practice at the studio. Lisa, along with all of the instructors that you will meet, continue this type of forward thinking with ongoing courses and associations with professionals and master teachers in these fields.

Lisa Browning - Lisa's education in movement studies began in college at Western Carolina University, where she began a major in Physical Education. Many years later, having taught exercise through the aerobics craze, competed at triathlon for 10 years, and was the massage therapist for runners and triathletes here in Atlanta and on a national scale for 15 years, she has found her passion teaching in the disciplines of Pilates and Yoga. She was certified with Pilates, Inc. out of New York City in 1999. She has since become a certified yoga instructor and National Academy for Sports Medicine personal trainer. With a keen eye for biomechanics and personalizing an exercise session, while staying abreast of innovative techniques and theories in the health and fitness world she is respected by professionals in the medical and fitness business. "Moving like you were young again", "performing at your best mentally and physically daily", are beliefs that help her and those she works with achieve goals.

Cory Garner _ Cory became a student of Pilates eight years ago while completing her BS in Industrial Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. After years of working in an office setting and feeling unfulfilled she knew that her career and her life path needed a radical shift. Taking Pilates and being in the studio environment was the most relaxing and uplifting part of the week, so when the studio owner approached her about becoming an instructor it was clearly the right time to make a change. She was certified in a Classic Style of Pilates here at Core Bodyworks, and has never looked back to those corporate years. Since her certification, she has taken several Continuing Education workshops emphasizing contemporary concepts, and her teaching reflects a mixture of Pilates’ styles to benefit each individual. Cory loves that the analytical skills her engineering training taught her translate perfectly to helping others improve their well-being through Pilates. Cory is a Balanced Body® University faculty member and a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. She is also a Meridian Flexibility & Strength® Training Intern.
