Curriculum Requirments

The Required Months are listed below with a generic schedule:

January 13-15: The Foundation and Structure of Yoga, Physical, Philosophically, and Energetically.

February 10-12: Chanting with Bhakti Messenger  

March 9-11: Bandhas, Pranayama and Deep Anatomy.

April 13-15: Ashtanga, and Ashtanga with Spice!  Kriyas, Sadhana Chi and Partner Yoga with Doug Swenson.  (this is a full weekend workshop)

May 11-13: Yin Yoga, Meditation and Soul Driven Business

June 8-10:  Adjusting, Adapting and Assisting.  Yoga Nidra Workshop

July 13-15:  Ayurveda Workshop w/Jaya Ramamurthy 

August 10-12:  The Chakra System

September 14-16:  Final Projects and Karma Yoga

*this is a general outline of the workshops offered.  Asana and Anatomy will be taught and practiced each month through August.  Presentations on the Yamas and Niyamas will be presented each month; February-September.

Classes will meet the second full weekend of each month beginning in January, through September 2011. The hours are:

Friday - 4:00pm – 9:00pm

Saturday – 8:00am – 6:00pm

Sunday – 8:00am – 3:00pm

Curriculum Requirments

The following requirments are strongly emphasized through the program:

  • Commitment to the entire program
  • A home practice, meditation, pranayama, reading and self-study along with a steady asana practice during the program
  • Keeping a daily journal of your practice and insight
  • Attend a minimum of 2 Yoga Classes per month (other than workshop hours) at CBW.  These classes should vary in type and level.
  • Un-supervised practice teaching hours (10), and Supervised teaching hours (5).
  • 3 hours assisting in Yoga classes.
  • Two reasearch projects will be presented
  • Assigned reading with follow-up questions and discussions
  • 7 required textbooks, and additional reading and research means lots of reading!

To apply please print and fill out this form. Then, reserve your spot with a deposit.

A $100 deposit is due with application submission. The tuition and fees paid by the applicant shall be refunded if the applicant is rejected by the school before enrollment. All tuition and fees paid by the applicant shall be refunded if requested within 5 business days of submitting application to the school. Once 5 business days have elapsed no refunds will be given. All refunds shall be returned within 30 days.
