Core Bodyworks has a very fit group of people between the ages of 55-81 coming to classes. In fact, one is in training to become a yoga instructor! You will find yourself in great company at the studio, and develop friendships, enhancing "your community," while staying fit.
Yoga and other disciplines offered here can help anyone of any age with stress reduction, flexibility, strength, improved fitness and overall health. Its goal in aligning the body and the mind can result in a lightness of being and a feeling of connectedness and happiness.
As we age, our bodies tend to stiffen, we lose range of motion and become more prone to a number of health issues. Yoga, Pilates and properly geared fitness training, can help ease and in some cases erase many of those issues. Your sense of wellness and empowerment will ease your mind, boosting mental alertness and happiness.
